Educational intervention on intestinal parasitosis in parents of children aged 3 to 5 years

Introduction: Intestinal parasitosis is a contagious disease caused mainly by worms or worms that lodge in the intestines, with children being the most affected. Objective: To evaluate the knowledge and attitudes in parents about intestinal parasitosis in children of 3 - 5 years of the I.E. 412 Round Leaf, Chincha - Ica. Design: A study with a quantitative, descriptive and cross-sectional approach was carried out. Materials and methods: 7 virtual sessions and the evaluation of the parents were carried out through two surveys in two phases. Results: Of the total of 68 parents surveyed. In the first phase, 12% answered correctly (<50% of questions), 4% answered (50% of questions), 31% answered (between 50% and 75% of questions), 53% answered (between 75% and <100% of questions) and 0% answered (100% of questions). In the second phase, 2% answered correctly (<50% of questions), 6% answered (50% of questions), 39% answered (between 50% and 75% of questions), 49% answered (between 75% and <100% of questions) and 4% answered 100% of questions. Conclusion: The work carried out managed to improve the knowledge and attitudes of parents about intestinal parasitosis in children.
